Saturday Chess at Bowman Library, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

January meetings were very active with lessons, competition, and fun!  We had a great Winter tournament at Holiday Inn and an incredible Movie Night at the Alamo Theater.

Today we have over 40 kids signed up on for daily online training.  About 30% are using these tools on a daily basis.  Chess coaches, John and David, have creative plans to increase the engagement in February.

We would like to thank you parents and kids giving this a shot.  We hope you all are learning a lot.  It can only get better!

The Super 8 Family Film Club gave local chess fans and families a real treat!  We played tons of games, talked chess, and screened an inspirational documentary The Brooklyn Castle.

Photos cannot fully capture how much fun this night was.  (More photos can be viewed on the club's Facebook and Instagram page.)

We were successful in raising funds and building awareness about the importance of chess in youth development.  It was an inspirational night for everyone!

Thank you very much to Alamo Drafthouse Winchester and every person who showed up in force!  We MUST do this again!
