Kids + Chess = Success | 2016 SVCC Kids Tournament Report

10001473 543688098374 7989205000736337004 n2016 SVCC Kids Tournament Was a Success!   Chess is gaining popularity in the Shenandoah Valley with more young chess players learning the game week after week.   In 2016 SVCC is continuing its chess education awareness campaign with more learning sessions and better access to training resources.   Participation in after-school chess programs is up, thanks to the efforts of veteran chess coach, Cliff Campbell.     On Saturday, March 12th, kids and participants packed Handley Library for the 2016 SVCC Kids Chess Tournament.       This was our 2nd kids ch...
